I’m Piotr Zielinski.
I like getting to the bottom of a difficult technology problem—and helping put it right.
I founded Eldyn Digital to do that work directly with business owners and founders. You bring the situation; I bring the experience to investigate it, explain what I find and get involved in the fixes.
The work I enjoy most has a clear purpose: make a useful difference, hand things back in better shape and return when the next problem or decision needs attention.
Judgement built through doing.
Over more than 25 years, I’ve worked across software, infrastructure, architecture, migrations and delivery. A problem rarely respects those boundaries. A delayed release might start with the code, the way it is deployed or a decision nobody has made.
I’m comfortable discussing the business impact with an owner, working through the detail with a developer and making changes myself. That ability to follow the problem through is what I bring to an engagement.
How I work
You should know what’s happening, why it matters and what I’m doing about it.
- You work with me directly.
- I investigate and take on practical work. If a particular part needs specialist skills, I bring in trusted people and stay involved.
- Keep what works. Fix what needs attention.
- I look at what can be improved before recommending a rewrite or a different platform. We agree the scope and cost before the work starts.
- Finish with a useful handover.
- I explain what changed, document what the next person needs and make any remaining issues clear. Bring me back for a release, another decision or a new problem.
Where I work
I’m based in Edinburgh and work with businesses across the UK. I usually work remotely, which suits much of the technical work.
Sometimes it helps to be in the room, especially when understanding a problem or getting a team aligned. I can work on-site in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and travel elsewhere in the UK for short engagements. We agree what makes sense for the work.
